Role and Responsibilities Samsung Electronics America (SEA) is looking for a self-motivated professional who operates with a strong sense of urgency. Someone who is a strategic and analytical thinker able to generate and share ideas while maintaining a keen eye for detail. Individual must be comfortable in flexing all communication styles and establishing positive interpersonal relationships This position will focus on the eCommerce Fulfillment operations for our Consumer Electronics business unit. Turning this dedicated focus and experience into calls for change across all disciplines across our eCommerce DC's. This individual will lead operations; supporting aggressive growth targets, implementing scalability through automation and technology, establish a continuous improvement environment focused on reducing costs, raising profitability and improving CX. This leader will communicate across all levels of the organization, providing tangible guidance and detailed analysis that will help the business teams make real-time and objective decisions. Candidate must be able to leverage analytical and time management skills to ensure that all requirements are accomplished within established timeframes.
Responsibilities:
Ensure best-in-class execution of eCommerce operations (Fulfillment, Inventory Control, Quality, Returns Management, Business Coordination) Lead cross-functional projects, establishing capabilities to improve CX and NPS Discover insights that will guide strategic decisions and uncover optimization opportunities Manage 3PL's to ensure capacity, adherence to expectations and course corrections as needed Manage and evaluate freight providers; rationalizing spend, capabilities, lead-times and performance Design and build-out organizational structure and timelines that support business objectives and timing Conduct Daily / Weekly / Monthly analysis/extraction, providing insights, turnaround plans, accountability, and monitoring of operational performance Build relationships with internal operational teams to understand current pain points / constraints and drive problem solving actions accordingly Develop and manage productivity, capacities and SLA's across all processes Identify and execute profit improvement initiatives Development, implementation and continuous assessment of operational markers, helping to identify areas of concern and trends (negative/positive) Operational Cost Management; including Budgets, Cost Savings and Investments Develop and document SOP's, standardizing operations across all DC's Working cross functionally with business groups to identify value proposition / impact of business objectives Evaluates and designs new layouts:
including storage rack, conveyor, automation, and other material handling solutions for facilities Assists in the design of contracts including:
scope of work development, assumption justification, operational plan development and speculative costing Provide ongoing operational support as needed Apply in-depth, advanced knowledge and skills of the eCommerce Market, Domestic Parcel Markets and Industry trends, with the keen understanding of external environment factors that may disrupt/change eCommerce activities Provides expert advice, coaching and counseling to Senior executives as it relates to the eCommerce industry Provide ongoing operational support as needed convenient Skills and Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in relevant field, Master's Degree highly desired 8-10 years of directly related experience Experience managing 3PL (Warehouse and Transportation) relationships at a strategic levels is a must Experience and understanding of Parcel, Final Mile and White Glove delivery operations is needed Advanced understanding of eCommerce operations and DC processes Requires high level of competency in customer focus, change & innovation, strategic thinking, relationship building & influencing, results focus and inspirational leadership Strategic thinker with excellent business judgment and strong operational intuition within a Distribution Center environment Success in building out operations from the ground floor Proficient in data analysis and visualization, with a track record of owning high quality analyses and presentations end-to-end Have the experience, ability and desire to work in a multi-national environment, with the understanding and commitment on what it takes to succeed Have an exceptionally high level of curiosity, a drive for accuracy and taking part in the evolution of our business Must be comfortable with all kinds of data, and feel comfortable in all stages of data analysis Possess exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to drive actionable insights that facilitate cross-functional initiatives and business outcomes You favor action and possess a strong sense of both practicality and effectiveness You are highly adaptable and able to thrive in ambiguous environments You are humble, highly driven and detail-oriented Demonstrate strong competency and comfort working with and analyzing large sets of data Demonstrated impact on profit enhancement and strategic initiatives Demonstrated expert-level experience in Excel, PowerPoint, and other MS Office products Ability to communicate with and drive projects with senior-level operators and C-suite Previous experience in High-Tech, Consumer Goods preferred Deep understanding of WMS is required Prior experience with SAP is a plus
Salary Range:
$200K -- $250K
Minimum Qualification
Supply Chain & Logistics, Operations ManagementEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
